The fatal crash occurred shortly before 11 a.m. at the intersection of John Barrow Road and Markham Street near Markham Square Center in the West Markham area.
Police say that Kenneth Overstreet failed to heed a stop sign on his 1999 Kawasaki motorcycle and struck the side of a northbound 2013 Cadillac.
Overstreet succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash.
Medics transported the driver of the Cadillac, a 48-year-old woman from Mabelvale, and her child to an area hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
